Hello! My name is Thomas Tokunaga, and I am pleased to make your acquaintance. While originally from the Bay Area, I’ve been an educator for over seven years now and have taught students all over the United States – from Kindergarteners in the Bronx to high school students earning college credits at UC Berkeley. I have been a second grade teacher and a ninth grade teacher, spent a year teaching at Rocket Math, where I helped students in K through 8th grade, and I have tutored students with a wide range of learning differences, from ADHD to Autism. After graduating from Emory University with a BA in English, I moved to New York to find my place in education amongst the best and brightest teachers and students alike. Currently, I am a graduate student in the School of Education at Hunter College and am looking to harness my diverse instructional
