Anna S

Anna has taught Modern Global History, Advanced Psychology, and English/Literary Studies at Columbia Grammar and Preparatory School. She has worked extensively, one-on-one and in the classroom, helping students prepare for standardized tests, such as the AP Psychology and AP Literature exams. She is also passionate about helping students develop a genuine connection to subject material, and encourages confidence and self-efficacy as students cultivate critical reasoning abilities and writing skills. In addition to providing academic support, Anna regularly works with students with autism spectrum disorder in developing social and communication capacities. Anna graduated from the New School for Social Research with an MA in Psychology, and from Columbia University with a BA in English and Comparative Literature. Drawing on her interdisciplinary background, Anna has presented original research on literature, psychology, and psychoanalysis at home and abroad. She is currently a PhD student in Psychology at Adelphi University.
