Emily G.

Emily completed her BA at Brown University in 2019 where she studied English and Education Studies. After graduating, she taught fourth grade and started writing her first book, a middle grade novel based on the life of her own fourth grade teacher. In 2025, she earned her Masters in Urban Education Policy from Brown where she completed a capstone that analyzed and disseminated high impact tutoring strategies. Emily now works as a Program Manager at Teachers College, Columbia University. Emily is currently writing her second manuscript and creating a public exhibition about the history of education in New Jersey. Emily believes that every child has an inherent curiosity that excellent educators can harness to make learning an engaging, collaborative experience.
