Hello! I'm Lydia, a dedicated tutor with over five years of teaching experience in the USA and abroad. I hold a bachelor's in pure mathematics from Hamilton College and have taught a range of subjects — including math, ESL, and science — at schools in New York and in Costa Rica with the Peace Corps. I taught 1st grade through 6th grade  for two years at a school in Costa Rica, and then returned to the US, where i have been a 7th and 8th grade math and science teacher for three years. I believe strongly that every student is capable of achieving their goals with the right amount of grit and motivation, and I hold my students to high expectations while encouraging them to do the same for themselves. My expertise lies in math, science and Spanish tutoring, though I am also comfortable tutoring middle school ELA.
