Tori T
Tori graduated from Brown University with a degree in Human Development. While at Brown, she worked with young students in Providence who were struggling with math. Her work with these students honed her passion for making mathematics accessible and meaningful. Tori then went on to earn a master’s degree in Education from Stanford University. She has taught mathematics to students in grades 6–9 in San Francisco and New York City classrooms. She is deeply committed to helping all students see themselves as “math people,” regardless of their past experiences or confidence levels. Passionate about student-centered education, Tori focuses on honoring what students already know while thoughtfully bridging the gap to new concepts. Through this approach, she helps students recognize the value of their thinking, develop confidence, and grow into capable, independent problem solvers. Outside of the classroom, Tori enjoys cooking, traveling, and taking unreasonably long walks throughout NYC.
