LSAT Tutoring in New York City

Private LSAT Prep by Expert NYC Tutors

The LSAT is a test of pure reasoning — logical, analytical, and verbal. It does not require background knowledge, but it does require a deep, practiced understanding of how arguments are structured, where they are flawed, and how to evaluate them quickly and accurately. Our NYC LSAT tutors help students develop exactly these skills through focused, personalized preparation.

Our Approach to LSAT Tutoring

We begin with a diagnostic that reveals exactly where each student’s reasoning strengths and weaknesses lie across Logical Reasoning, Analytical Reasoning (Logic Games), and Reading Comprehension. Each section requires different strategies, and we address them with the specificity they deserve.

Many LSAT students find that their scores improve dramatically once they understand the underlying logic of how each question type works. Our tutors excel at making that logic transparent — turning the LSAT from a frustrating mystery into a learnable, masterable system.

LSAT Tutoring Rate

Our rate for LSAT tutoring is $200 per hour. All materials are included. We do not require pre-payment or pre-purchasing of hours, and we bill at the end of each month.

The Current LSAT Format

The LSAT is administered by LSAC (Law School Admission Council) and as of 2024 consists of two Logical Reasoning sections and one Reading Comprehension section — Logic Games have been removed. This makes Logical Reasoning even more important than before. Our tutors are fully current with the new format and have updated their preparation materials accordingly.

New York City is home to some of the country’s most prestigious law schools — Columbia, NYU, and Fordham — and competition for admission is intense. Our LSAT tutors know what top NYC law school applicants need to achieve and build preparation programs accordingly.

Frequently Asked Questions

What LSAT score do I need for top law schools?

Median LSAT scores at top-14 law schools range from 168 at Harvard and Yale to 163–165 at schools like Georgetown and UCLA. A score of 170+ puts you in a very strong position for the most selective programs. We work backward from your target school’s median to set your preparation goals.

How long does LSAT prep take?

Most students prepare for 3–6 months. The LSAT rewards consistent, deliberate practice over time — cramming is not effective. We build a realistic schedule based on your test date and current scoring level.

Has the LSAT changed recently?

Yes. The LSAT is now administered digitally and the Logic Games (Analytical Reasoning) section was removed starting in August 2024. The exam now consists of two Logical Reasoning sections and one Reading Comprehension section. Our tutors are fully up to date with the current format.

What is your LSAT tutoring rate?

Our LSAT tutoring rate is $200 per hour. All materials are included. We bill at the end of each month and do not require pre-payment.
