After pursuing a fascination with music and sound by studying Electrical & Audio Engineering at the University of Miami (and subsequently working at Dolby Laboratories), I discovered a broader curiosity about the brain and behavior, which led to a Ph.D. in Psychology and Cognitive Science at Indiana University. I have specialized in STEM, but I enjoy teaching subjects across the educational spectrum, and keeping up with both scientific advances and new fiction and films. I also love learning about history and languages, often via travel — I've been around the world a few times, and I've lived in 12 US states and 3 other countries. I bring all my experiences and interests to the educational process, helping students connect to their studies and motivate them to pursue their own abilities and passions.
