¡Hola! My name is Sara. I am originally from Costa Rica, but I have lived in several countries for the last few years. I started teaching Spanish more than 20 years ago when I was completing my first Master's degree in Denmark, and it became my lifelong passion and vocation. I have taught students of all ages and levels in different settings. More recently undergraduate students at NYU, and I currently work as a middle school and high school Spanish teacher at Hunter College High School. I am a supportive and extremely engaging teacher who really cares for the emotional and academic development of my students. I am also a bilingual fiction writer, and have published my work in a variety of forms. I hold an MFA in Creative Writing in Spanish from NYU.
