I'm a lifelong scientist, and love to help others explore their interests through the lens of science and technology. While I love a number of different disciplines, I have been in Physics for a little over a decade now; as an undergraduate at Duke University, as a PhD student at Yale, and finally as a postdoctoral researcher with Rice. What I loved most about those experiences is the opportunity to talk science and help others realize that they can master the material as well, no matter how daunted they may be coming in. Over the years, I've taught elementary school astronomy, high school physics and math, and various levels of introductory college physics. Throughout, my philosophy has remained the same. Each student needs something slightly different to succeed, and I love the process of figuring that out and helping the student achieve their goals, whatever that may be. In my free time, I enjoy reading fantasy and sci-fi and walking my dog Dexter.
