Hello! I’m Alexa, I was born in Boston, attended high school in South Florida, and I am a lifelong equestrian (it’s been 30+ years since my first riding lesson). In NYC, I served as a High School Advisory Coordinator and previously led the College & Career Readiness programming and taught AP English; I designed aligned CCR/advisory systems, coached teachers, and helped seniors craft standout essays (one of my all-time favorites was about matcha). I hold an M.Ed. in Curriculum & Instruction (Boston College) and a B.A. in English (Rhodes College), along with NYS English 7–12, College Board AP Lang, and Columbia’s College Advising Program credentials. I love partnering with students and families to build best-fit college lists, demystify financial aid, and celebrate the moment a plan becomes a pathway. When I’m not cheering seniors on, I’m usually ringside with my horses, Carl and Casper.
