I am from California, where I obtained a B.S in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from University of California, Santa Barbara while minoring in Statistical Sciences. After finishing my undergraduate degree, I moved to NYC where I am currently a PhD candidate studying Computational Biology in NYC at Weill Cornell and MSK. Along my educational journey, I have tutored and mentored whenever an opportunity arose, including teaching sections of an undergraduate genetics course and one on one mentoring students applying to graduate school. I believe teaching is the best way to both share and improve your knowledge, and hope to build confidence and independent thinking in my students!

Drew is a dedicated and experienced tutor who brings a broad academic background and a passion for teaching to every session. He is currently a fourth-year medical student at NYU Grossman School of Medicine, where his love of learning and helping others continues to shape his professional path. Before medical school, Drew earned his B.A. in Mathematics and History from Amherst College and graduated from Regis High School in Manhattan. His varied academic journey has given him a deep appreciation for learning across disciplines, and he strongly believes in the value of a well-rounded education. Drew has worked with students at the middle school, high school, and college levels, and he finds one-on-one tutoring especially rewarding. He teaches all core academic subjects—including mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, history, and English—with a focus on helping students strengthen key skills, build confidence, and reach their future goals. His enthusiasm for mentorship and education

I graduated in 2020 from Harvard with a concentration in Chemical and Physical Biology and secondary in Comparative Literature. I am currently an MD-PhD student at Columbia, where I research the role of insulin signaling in cancer proliferation. I began tutoring in high school, where I tutored underclassmen in math, science, and Latin. In college, I did peer tutoring in physics and organic chemistry and also served as a course facilitator for introductory biology and organic chemistry. I now lead review sessions and small-group problem-solving sessions with Columbia Medical School’s Student Success Network. I have also advised on college applications for students. I believe in taking a highly tailored approach when working with each student, identifying personal goals and areas for improvement while also drawing upon my relevant experience or education in the subject being taught. In my free time, I enjoy running (especially in Central Park), playing tennis, and

My devotion to science began in high school with a love for chemistry and biology. This in turn led to me pursuing further education in the science field. I graduated BSc Pharmacology with Honors (1st Class) in 2013, and with Masters of Research in Translational Medicine (with Distinction) in 2014. Based on academic excellent I was awarded a prestiguous PhD studentship with the British Heart Foundation. I completed my PhD training in Scotland at the University of Glasgow where I used a novel molecular technique to study protein-protein interactions in various fields of disease including cardiovascular and cancer. This training provided me with a robust background in molecular techniques which I have gone on to apply to the field of neuroscience. After graduating in 2017 I was recruited to Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital to undertake my post docotral training. I to began to focus on studying

I earned a B.S. in biology with a concentration in microbiology from Cornell University. After graduation, I worked in a research laboratory studying bacterial pathogens at Columbia University. I am now a MD/PhD student in NYC. I have experience tutoring biology, chemistry, physics, algebra, and geometry at the high school level. I also attended Brooklyn Technical High School, so I have a good understanding of common standardized exams that NYC students often take (i.e. SHSAT, regents exams). In addition, I have experience teaching biology and biochemistry at the undergraduate level. When I’m not working, I enjoy playing squash, spending time with friends, and traveling!
